More About the Program
This March Break, children will bring to life an original scripted show inspired by the charm of Czech author and illustrator Zdeněk Miller. The production features a spring theme, new characters, and creative elements developed specifically for the camp. Students will rehearse, organize, and perform on stage, culminating in a professionally filmed presentation that parents, caregivers, extended family, and friends can enjoy at home. Through the creative arts portion of the camp, we will create decorations and props for the show, along with additional art activities inspired by the story that children can take home.
Throughout the week, students will enjoy catered lunches prepared especially for the program by Openfield Catering, a local provider. Morning and afternoon snacks and drinks will also be provided. After lunch, students will take part in outdoor physical activities and games, giving them plenty of time to stay active and have fun in the fresh air. Following outdoor time, students will return indoors for more drama rehearsals and a special creative writing and drawing project.
The camp will take place at Aluna Theatre, 1 Wiltshire Ave, Unit 124, Toronto, ON M6N 2V7.
